We are currently looking for a full-time Field Service Technician to join our team, starting immediately.

Position Summary

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for installs, repairs, and maintenance on PC, point of sale equipment and peripherals for AM PM Systems’ customer base. The successful candidate should be a self-starter and have the ability to work with limited supervision, and have a good understanding of computer hardware while maintaining customer service. In addition, the candidate must own a reliable vehicle. Please note, that this position requires regular on-call shift work.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Break fix service of a wide variety of POS equipment, as well as PC’s, printers, retail laptops, and a variety of other electronic peripherals
  • New system refreshes
  • Installs, repairs, and maintenance on PC, network, POS equipment and peripherals for AM PM Systems’ customer base while adhering to Install, Moves, Adds, Changes (IMAC) procedure
  • Provide remote/onsite software support for all POS systems
  • Responsible for the successful installation for any or all products sold under AM/PM Systems Inc.
  • Follow all processes and procedures on administration, POS deployment & installation & support
  • Strive to improve first visit repairs
  • Manage work orders to meet customer’s service level agreements
  • Provide superior customer service and represent AM/PM professionally in all aspects of the position

Qualifications

  • PC repair skills
  • A+ Certification an asset
  • ISS45, SMS, ACS-IR or ACE experience an asset
  • Experience using POS systems is a definite asset
  • Troubleshooting skills with outstanding problem-solving skills
  • Positive friendly manner and customer service approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with empathy and sincerity
  • Good mechanical skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skill
  • Self-motivated and as well, works well in a team environment
  • Must possess the ability to follow directions to completion, and pay close attention to details
  • Valid Driver’s license (Must provide Driver’s Abstract) and a reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites which could be out of state on a regular basis

AM PM Systems provides a compensation package that includes base salary, benefits, mileage reimbursement. Salary will be based on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training on various Point of Sale Hardware Systems and point of sale software.
